Arizona Flag with Staff and Spear
Flags International was proud to offer this Arizona Flag with Staff and Spear. Arizona was entered into the United States in 1848, after the Mexican War, but did not have a flag until 1911. The territory’s Adjutant General, Charles Harris, designed a flag and it was made official in 1917. Harris indicated that his design was meant to show the sun setting over the desert with the central star symbolizing the main mineral found in the state, and the blue lower half representing the United States. 4in x 6in flags come on a 3/16in x 10″ black plastic staff with gold spear tip finial. 8in x 12in flags are carefully hemstitched on all four sides for longer lasting beauty. 8in x 12in flags come on a 1/4in x 18in black wood staff with gold blunt spear finial.
