Description
4in x 6in Gadsden with Staff and Spear
Flags International is proud to offer this high quality 4in x 6in Gadsden with Staff and Spear. One of the first Rattlesnake flags was devised by Colonel Gadsden of South Carolina. It was claimed to be flown by Commodore Esek Hopkins, first Commander of the Continental fleet. The inscription was intended as a warning to the British-meaning it was as dangerous to tread on the colonies as it would be to step on a rattlesnake. The flag of the Gadsden is beautifully printed on silk-like material; these flags offer the highest quality in a mounted flag. They are carefully stitched on all four sides for longer lasting beauty. Flags come on a 3/16″x10″ black plastic staff with gold spear tip finial.
